Dr. Sugiyama was born and raised in Long Beach, CA. He attended dental school at Case Western Reserve University and continued on to the orthodontic specialty program at Loma Linda University. Dr. Sugiyama has been teaching orthodontics at Loma Linda University for over 35 years and has taught at many other universities around the world.
